Remote Mac —
closer than it appears.

Macitor is remote control for Mac that feels like your own: native trackpad swipes, a shared clipboard, files both ways, and connections without a public IP. As responsive as if the Mac were right next to you*.

One email, on launch day. No spam. By leaving your email, you agree to how we handle it.

* Responsiveness is the project’s top priority. We measure the delay from a finger’s movement to the change on screen, and that’s exactly what we optimize.

Scroll down — we’ll show you how it looks ↓

It’s all about the swipe

Three fingers to the left — and you’re on the next desktop. That desktop just happens to be in another city.

Not a hotkey, a real gesture. Every phase of it reaches the remote Mac.

Swipe up — Mission Control. The remote macOS decides what a gesture means.

As if a second Mac were right in front of you.

Everything else — feels local too.

No public IP

Macs connect directly, and if the network won’t let them, through a relay. No ports to open.

Clipboard and files

Copy here, paste there. Files travel both ways.

When no one’s around

Allow your Mac once, and connect even when nobody is at the other one.

The server can’t see your screen

It helps Macs find each other and, when needed, forwards an encrypted stream.

Planned

Temperature, load, memory and disk — every Mac in one window.

Overheating, a maxed-out CPU, low memory or a full SSD: you see it at once, without logging in to each Mac.

Mac Studio is running hot: 76°

For those who value isolation

Your own server — and no one else’s between your Macs.

You’ll be able to connect Macitor to your own VPS. Signaling, STUN and the TURN relay run on a server only you control.

  • One-command installA ready-made installer for Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04, HTTPS certificate included.
  • Signed with your keyThe server list is signed with a key from your Mac, so no one can slip in a foreign server.
  • Only your MacsWithout your network’s pass, the server forwards no messages and provides no relay.
  • Up to four serversJoin several VPSs into one network: if one goes down, another takes over.

FAQ

Do I need Macitor on both Macs?

Yes. It’s the same app on both: any Mac can control and be controlled. One invitation is enough to link two Macs.

Can I connect when no one is at the other Mac?

Yes, if you’ve allowed it for your Mac in advance. The other Mac has to be on, with a user logged in and Macitor running. Without that permission, every connection is confirmed on the other Mac.

Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 15 or later on Macs with Apple Silicon. Native swipes work when both Macs run macOS 15.6 or later.

Do I need my own VPS or open ports?

No. Your Macs need neither a public IP nor open ports: they connect directly, and if the network won’t let them, through a relay. Your own VPS is optional, for those who value isolation.

What goes through the clipboard?

Text, both ways, while a session is on. Images and formatting don’t go through the clipboard; files are sent separately, also both ways.

What’s different with my own server?

Signaling, STUN and the TURN relay run on your VPS, the server list is signed with a key from your Mac, and the server serves only your Macs. Either way, the server never sees your screen, input, clipboard or files: all it gets is addresses and connection metadata.

The data controller is ClickTechnologies LLC. Through the form we receive only what you send: your email, answers to the optional questions and the page language. We use it to tell you when Macitor launches, keep it on our own server, share it with no one and keep it no longer than the launch email needs.
